In 1994, Dr Sean Leo earned a military scholarship from the Singapore Armed Forces, propelling him to pursue his medical education at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Following his rigorous medical training at NUS, Dr. Leo returned to serve in the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps. Dr. Leo played a pivotal role in medical policy formulation and was actively involved in operational planning and overseas medical and humanitarian missions.
He has experience treating numerous high-demand professional soldiers, gaining invaluable exposure to advanced programs in human performance optimisation, pioneering surgical techniques, and rehabilitation programs with a special focus on rapid recovery and athletic performance.
CGH, Dr Leo previously held the position of Senior Consultant, and he was the Director of Hip and Knee Services in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Leo completed his post-graduate training in Orthopedic Surgery in 2009 and further enriched his knowledge with a one-year clinical fellowship at the prestigious Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. During this time, he served as the sports injury doctor for the esteemed Gordon Rugby Football Club, providing medical coverage during New South Wales Rugby Union League games.
At present, he practices at OrthoSports Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine as a knee and sports specialist.
